Introduction to the process of a little more in CNC precision machining
Introduction to some more common processes in CNC precision machining
Some more common processes used by CNC precision machining plants include ultrasonic welding, drilling and laser cutting.
Lathe
In a lathe, an indexable tool is used to cut a part in a circular direction. With the help of CNC precision machining technology, the cutting method used by the lathe can achieve high precision and high speed. CNC lathes are used to generate complex plans that cannot be achieved on manually operated machines. Overall, the control efficacy of CNC mills and lathes is similar. As with the former, the lathe can be controlled by G-code or only by proprietary code. However, most CNC lathes consist of two axes - X and Z.
plasma cutting machine
In a plasma cutting machine, a plasma torch is used to cut the material. The technique was first used on metallic materials, but can also be used on other surfaces. To generate the speed and heat needed to cut metal, a plasma is created by a combination of compressed air gas and an electric arc.
Electrical Discharge Machine
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) (also known as Die and Spark Machining) is a process in which a workpiece is molded into a special shape by electrical discharge. With EDM, electrical discharge occurs between two electrodes, removing one-sided aspects of a given workpiece.
As the space between the electrodes becomes smaller, the electric field becomes stronger than the dielectric, so more powerful. This allows current to pass between the two electrodes. Therefore, one side of the workpiece is removed by each electrode. Subtypes of EDM include:
Wire-cut electrical discharge machining (EDM), which uses spark erosion to remove surfaces from conductive materials.
EDM process, in which the electrode and workpiece are immersed in an insulating liquid to form the workpiece.
In a process called cleaning, the debris of each product workpiece is carried away by the liquid dielectric, which appears once the current between the two electrodes ceases, in order to Eliminate the rest of the charge.
Waterjet
In CNC precision machining, waterjet is the use of high-pressure water to cut objects in hard materials such as granite and metal. In some environments, water can mix with sand or other minor abrasives. Manufacturer's machine parts are usually formed through this process.
For materials that cannot withstand the high heat processes of other CNC machines, water jets are used as coolers. So, water jets are used in many platforms, such as aerospace and mining, where the process works well for purposes such as engraving and cutting. Water jet cutting machines are also used in applications that require very complex cutting of materials, as the lack of heat prevents any changes in the inherent properties of materials that may result from metal-to-metal cutting.
